Platinum Partners

In the largest inbound acquisition in India in 2013, Platinum Partners Mumbai lawyers Nihar Mody and Yash Mohanram advised British drinks giant Diageo on its acquisition of Vijay Mallya-promoted United Spirits Limited (USL). Diageo, which owns brands like Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff and Guinness, initially purchased a 25% stake of USL for $870 million (Rs. 5,236 crore)〔(Diageo Takes Control of United Spirits ).
